Amelia's ATL Visit, Part 2

Amelia came to visit a couple of weekends ago. Kate was so excited. When she woke up from her nap, she said, "Amelia coming over?" When I put her down for her naptime, I had told her that Amelia would be coming over later. :o)

Amelia looked so cute in her Christmasy outfit--her shirt had little Christmas ornaments on it. I thought I had something similar packed away for Kate. Sure enough, a few minutes of digging through a tote in her closet produced this Target outfit--also with ornaments on it. :o) It's a 3T--and for some reason, I thought Kate would be able to wear it next year. Yeah, right. Don't they look adorable in their coordinating ornament ensembles?

After a few minutes of visiting, we were off to the mall. We had to ride The Pink Pig, after all. It's tradition. This is the girls' third year of riding the pig train together. I think this year is the longest they've ever waited in line. I think it was around an hour wait? I can't remember.

Just before we let them out of their strollers. It got worse before it got better--but once they were on The Pink Pig, all their troubles melted away.

I cannot get over how grown up they look. They rode up front, all by themselves! Well, Jamie (Amelia's Daddy) rode in the seat behind them, but still. Such big girls!

Kristi and I rode toward the back.

Trying to get a family pic in the post-ride chaos. LOL!

Guess who was there? The CFA Santa Cow!

The girls weren't too sure about the Santa Cow at first, but they warmed up to him (her?) later. They also saw the cow at the food court when we got some CFA for dinner.

Peering down at Santa from the second level

After dinner, we paid a last-minute visit to the jolly old man. We were one of the last customers of the day. Kate has been obsessed with Santa this year and seemed excited to see him, but she was a bit apprehensive when it came time to actually go up to sit on his lap. I guess she just needed a minute. Amelia, on the other hand, wasn't convinced the whole Santa thing was a good idea.

Candy canes make everything better! Just look at that smile!

After our mall adventures, we came back here to open a few presents. I think Kate waned to keep these Yo Gabba Gabba gifts for herself. Perhaps she'll get something Gabba-related soon ...

Amelia loved playing with the Little People nativity set.

Mother-daughter shot. :o) Kristi has on an ornament shirt, too.

Our visit went by too quickly! Thanks for coming to see us--can't wait to do it all again next year!
