My Nativity ornaments are very special to me. I display most of them in a prominent position on the tree. These decorations serve as reminders of the reason we celebrate the Christmas season, as we prepare our hearts to receive the Christ Child. The ornament above was purchased on our honeymoon on Grand Cayman Island in 2004. On many trips and vacations, I try to purchase an ornament for the tree, to serve as a keepsake and reminder of the good times the travels brought. As I unpack them each year, the ornaments do bring back many precious memories.
This ornament came with the location where I bought it already on the bottom. I need to go back and write on several of my memento ornaments before I forget when and where I bought them.
I also bought this ornament on a trip in 2004. It was a trip to Panama with Operation Christmas Child. I was working for the ministry at the time, and I traveled to Panama in January to help distribute shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. I did write on the bottom of this one (just didn't take a photo of that). I have a few other ornaments that are very similar to this one, including one from my friend Michelle. :o)
Perfect ornaments!
