Trains @ Atlanta Botanical Garden

Today after church and lunch, I took Kate over to Atlanta Botanical Garden. The holiday train has been running on the weekends--and I wasn't sure if we'd have another opportunity to get over there before the end of the year. It was a pretty day--just a bit nippy. Or nipply, if you are a Christmas Vacation fan. LOL!

The ride-on train--The Botanical Express--goes around the great lawn twice. Tickets are only $2 each, and children younger than 3 ride free with a paid adult. The train has been running on weekends and a few select weekdays and will continue through Jan. 3, I think. Click the link for more info.

All aboard! Kate chose the orange caboose for our ride. The conductor was very nice and offered to take a photo of us.

Kate was digging the ride! She wanted to go again when it was over, but we had another train to catch ...

Inside the Fuqua Orchid Center is a holiday train display--a new tradition at the ABG.

Railroad Crossing!

Kate LOVED the train display.

Coca-Cola--my kind of train!

Watching the train go around the track

Trolley (I guess that's a trolley.)

Kate could have stayed there watching the train for a few hours. She thoroughly enjoyed running around the display and waiting for the train to come around.

Another shot of the train. From what I gather, this display will grow each year. What a fun new tradition.

Kate also enjoyed running around the great lawn.

Merry Christmas!
